Financial Genome was developed in collaboration with Dr. Erich Helfert, the author of the classic book, "Techniques of Financial Analysis, A Guide to Value Creation" which is in its eleventh edition since 1963 and has sold over 500,000 copies in ten languages. Financial Genome is based on the integrated "business system" approach, which is the powerful core concept of the book, and it contains over 350 financial terms and eleven customizable financial statements.

Financial Genome allows you to select the financial terms and time periods that are relevant to your specific needs and then generates a customized, consistent, error-free set of financial statements and analysis results. The output of your analysis can be displayed in four views:
- The Accounting View shows standard financial statements: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement and Statement of Changes in Shareholders’ Equity.
- The Business Performance View includes a Ratios Statement with an extensive collection of financial ratios.
- The Consultant Edition adds a Business Performance Analysis which displays a Dupont ratio tree.
- The Economic View (in the Consultant Edition only) includes a NOPAT Analysis, Capital Base Analysis, Cost of Capital Analysis and Economic Profit Analysis.
- The Forecasting View allows you to take existing financial data and generate a set of ratio-driven "Forecast Drivers" that are used to create financial projections. You can review and modify these forecast drivers and then use them to generate a complete set of forecasted financial statements.
- New! A Forecast Methods Wizard (Professional and Consultant Versions only) helps you select the most appropriate forecasting methods.
- A Funds Deficit Balance is automatically calculated in the projections to identify any funding requirements.
